The Next Step

Congratulations on your new expansion! Now that you have finally gotten that office space, it's time to fill it up with office supplies to satisfy your employees. In this article, we will show you the basic supplies and furniture you will need to run your buisness smoothly and ergonomically. The Desk

Your first step to creating your new office is setting up the desks. That means stationary (paper, pens, highlighters, ect), tape, sticky notes, binders, and even folders. Although these sound small and simple, they are the most necessary supplies to have in order to get anything started.

The Technology

At each desk, there should be an undated computer filled with all the necessary applications and programs that your company will need to use throughout the years. Every computer should have a mouse and a keyboard, along with a proper computer chair. A lot of stress can be placed on an employees body if they are required to use a computer each day without the necessary tools to keep them comfortable. So spend those couple extra dollars on these items and they will last longer and keep your employees content.

The Organization

Once you have the basic necessities, it's time to get some things to organize and store your paperwork. A filing cabinet is the first steps to getting those papers together. All you will need are paperclips, a stapler and of course, file folders. Depending on the amount of hard paper copies your company keeps longterm, two or three filing cabinets might be required.

The Odds and Ends

Lastly, don't forget about the small things, such as envelopes and stamps for when you need to mail things, coloured printer paper for when you need to make something more noticeable, push pins, thumbtacks and other things to hang stuff up. You will need planners and calendars so appointments and events are attended and everything gets done.

There is a lot of work that gets put into making and setting up an office space for your business, but just remember that there is a lot more work that goes on in the office once it is set up. Keep your employees happy by providing an organized, well equipped and functional office environment.
