How to Have an Easy Wake

Almost everyone finds waking up in the morning and leaving the comforts of the bed difficult. Even though we are awake, we don’t feel ready to take on even the simplest tasks. This is known as Sleep Inertia. Normally, it can last up to four hours. It happens because of the lack of rest in our busy lives. Your office supplies should consist of ergonomic office furniture which will ease your work; thus less tiredness. Here, we will discuss the steps to waking refreshed.

Activities Before Sleeping

The first step is to be aware of your activities before going to sleep. You may prefer to watch TV before going to bed. The rays which the television emits affects the quality of your overall sleep and sleeping patterns. Another thing you should avoid is consuming alcohol. People think that drinking alcohol before going to sleep helps, but research does not support this fact. You should also try to reduce your early morning workload. Complete your breakfast preparations or clothes selection or any other tasks in the evening. And last but not least, have a good night’s sleep by not eating heavy food.

Undisturbed Sleep

You may like to wake up early in the morning with the help of an alarm clock. Set the time of the alarm clock to wake you after you have completed the necessary hours of sleep. One should have six to eight hours of sleep daily. You should set your favourite tune as the alarm clock ringtone for a refreshing start. Keep in mind that you should always strive to have a fixed time interval of sleep. Your sleep time duration and intervals on the weekends should be same as on weekdays for an optimal routine.

Boosting Your Energy

After waking up, take a cool bath or shower. Alternating between the hot and cold will help you to become more active. Another way to remove sluggishness is to do some exercises in the morning. Some of the exercises suggested to boost your energy are cycling, stretching, jumping and jogging.

Food and Drinks

Drinking coffee in the morning can help you boost your energy. Coffee contains a high amount of caffeine so it is suggested not to rely on it. You can also drink water to energize yourself. Water will help you to rehydrate your body after a long night of sleep. Do not skip breakfast as this helps to get your metabolism working at the start of the day.
