How to Buy the Best Conference Room Chairs

Our last article was all about
choosing conference room furniture. We got as far as choosing your conference room table, but what about choosing conference room chairs? There are so many choices when it comes to office chairs, how do you find the one best suited to your situation?
Read our helpful tips on buying the best conference room chairs below:
Mind your business. Your office furniture and décor makes a statement about you. It also is an opportunity to reinforce the image you want for your business. A law firm may, for example, prefer to choose more traditional and professional style of office furniture to give that trustworthy and professional look. Take a look at different styles of conference room chairs and choose one that fits well within your company’s walls.
Table height. Get out your measuring tape and double check your table’s dimensions. It would be beyond inconvenient to find that you’ve just ordered 24 conference room chairs that don’t fit well with your table! Keep in mind the style of your conference room table too; pick out chairs that will work well with it functionally as well as complement the style.
Users and uses. Conference room furniture may not be used every day; but when it does get used, it is often for hours! Long business meetings and seminars can demand a lot of your energy and attention so make it easy on the people and provide chairs that will be comfortable and ergonomically correct. The last thing you want is to have people start fidgeting an hour into your meeting because their back hurts or they can’t feel their toes!
Cut down distraction. The balance between providing enough comfort and too much is delicate. You can find conference room chairs that have incredible adjustability. The down side to a chair with too many features is that it can become a distraction.
Each time a new person sits in a chair like this they will be bound to play with all those amazing features…which can be a bit disruptive when you have a dozen or more people playing with their chairs at once! You also will have to have someone go through the conference room after and reset each chair to make sure they all fit uniformly under your table so your room looks good. It may seem like a small detail, but when you have a large number of chairs all set differently, you’ll notice it visually. Keep it simple!
Budget Considerations. Cost is almost always a consideration. Whether you’re on a tight budget or you just want to save money where you can; the general rule of thumb is to get the best conference room furniture that your budget will afford. If you’re on a tight budget, there are a lot of office and business chairs available for great prices; the key here is to find a deal. Often if you speak to a sales representative and explain you are interested in purchasing a quantity of chairs and outline your budget, they will be able to provide you with at least several good options right away. They can also advise you of any upcoming liquidation, used conference room furniture, or other insider information.
