10 Habits to Boost Your Chances of Success - Part 2

Success is certainly not something that happened by accident! Successful people such as Marc Zuckerberg, Bill gates and Coco Chanel all learned good habits in order to reach their objectives. Why don’t you do the same? Following the first part of this article, here are five more successful habits.

  1. Make big decisions but ask for advice first

If you’re facing a tough decision, chances are that someone you know has been in a similar position. Seek out your successful friends, fellow entrepreneurs and business leaders to ask them what they think about your current predicament. This provides the chance to get some helpful new insight and be shown new angles to consider.
  2. Ask for feedback

Getting feedback on your work can help you stay on the right track. Ask trusted peers for their perspective; their thoughts can help you revise and improve your own. As a bonus, you’ll possibly be tapped for feedback from time to time, and the practice of helping others will put you in a better position to critique your own work.
  3. Keep in mind your overall goal

It’s easy to get tied down in the small details, especially if you consider yourself a detail-oriented person. While being detail oriented isn’t a bad thing, make sure you never lose sight of your overall goal. To make it happen, you have to see the big picture.
  4. Be honest with yourself

If you’re living in denial, you’ll never be able to rise above your difficulties and reach success.  Well-regarded writer Paulo Coelho is often quoted as saying, “If you want to be successful, you must respect one rule: never lie to yourself.”
  5. Don’t allow your past to hold you back

If you’ve spent any time or money investing in the stock market, you’ve heard the old warning that past performance is no indication of future success. If that’s true for companies, it should certainly be true for individuals! While you should certainly appreciate your humble start and learn from your past mistakes, you should in no way let them define you as you move toward a successful future.

While there’s much to be said for creativity and ingenuity, you certainly don’t want to find yourself out of office supplies such as binder clips or toner and have to improvise. At office supplies wholesale retailer Crites & Riddell, we have everything that today’s entrepreneur needs to be successful, from ergonomic office furniture to custom printing solutions.
