In 1911, W.P. Crites and T.A. Riddell joined forces to create Crites & Riddell, a stationery company located on Craig Street in Old Montreal. During the past 95 years, they have kept up with technological innovations and now offer a full range of printing services and office supplies across Canada.
Mr. Crites passed away in 1939, and Mr. T.A. Riddell became the sole owner. With his wife Florence, who worked at the reception and whom he later married, and their son Alexander, they saw the company through the difficult depression and war years. Together with involved and committed team employees, they have led a long-standing family business into today’s market.
As Crites & Riddell moved from Old Montreal, to Mountain Street in the downtown core, and finally to its present location in ville LaSalle, the employees remained the most valuable asset. Families such as the Martins, where Edouard and his sons François and Maurice worked alongside the Riddells for over 75 years, created long-standing customer relations and ensured an unwavering management team.
From the beginning, W.P Crites and T.A. Riddell’s vision was to provide personalized customer service, and that has remained Crites & Riddell’s source of pride.
